Dr. Manu Sebastian
Associate Professor & Director - The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center
Dr. Sebastian is board certified by American College of Veterinary Pathology, American College of Toxicology and American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine with more than 20 years of experience in both academia and biopharmaceutical industry. Dr. Sebastian held faculty positions in University of Georgia, Cornell University and Columbia University, where he was the Chief of Comparative Pathology. His primary interest is translational pathology in cancer with special interest in cancer drug discovery. He has extensive experience in pharmaceutical & medical devices efficacy studies, safety evaluation and regulatory approval. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Epigenetics and Molecular Carcinogenesis and the Director of NCI funded Research Histology Pathology & Imaging Core in MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC). After working for 6 years in biotech industry, he joined MDACC in August 2016. The core he manages in MDACC provides image analysis for both research and drug discovery.
Dr. Sebastian is an active member of several national professional organizations including American Society of Investigative Pathology, American Association of Cancer Research, Society of Toxicology, and Society of Toxicologic Pathology.
